Hulchul (Translated: Commotion) is a 2004 Hindi filmdirected by Priyadarshan. The story is adapted from the 1991 Malayalam film Godfather. The film has a huge star cast including Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Sunil Shetty, Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Farha Naaz, and Laxmi. It is a satirical portrayal of the post-modern Indian woman's self-image, self-confidence, self-victimization, and self-empowerment.
